O.P.S. Vidya Mandir, Ambala has grown quickly into one of Ambala's leading CBSE institutions since opening in 2017. Spread across a 20,234 sq. m campus in the heart of the city, the school offers education from Nursery through Class 12, with PCM, PCB, commerce and arts streams at the senior secondary level.

How the O.P.S. Vidya Mandir VR lab fits the school day ?
The O.P.S. Vidya Mandir VR lab serves a CBSE school of 1,553 students in Sector 9, Ambala City. Across 89 classrooms and a five-acre campus, the school teaches Nursery to Class 12, with PCM, PCB, commerce and arts streams at senior secondary level.
The headset doesn't teach. It holds the apparatus. Everything that makes a practical worth doing — the question asked at the right moment, the student who has the right endpoint but can't say why, the decision to let a class get it wrong once before explaining — still belongs to the teacher standing in the room.

That is why a 9DXR lab is delivered to the staffroom before it reaches the students. A subject teacher who has never worn a headset needs to be able to open the right practical, spot who is stuck, and stop the session to make a point — on day one, not by half-term.
Where does the teacher stand?
A Class 3 child and a Class 12 PCM student are not doing the same thing inside the same headset. The younger one is handling objects and noticing what changes — a circuit that lights, a seed that opens. The older one is running a procedure that has to come out right, and being marked on it.

The library spans Classes 1 to 12 and ten subjects, so one installation serves both without being reconfigured. What changes between them is the practical, not the equipment — which is why a school doesn't buy a junior lab and a senior lab.

How do you know a student actually performed it?
CBSE practical assessment assumes the student performed the experiment. At a crowded bench, with one set of apparatus and a section of forty, a teacher often cannot honestly say who performed it and who watched. It is the oldest open secret in school science.

In the lab there is no queue for the apparatus and nothing to share, so forty students perform forty titrations in the same period. The teacher's problem stops being who got a turn and becomes who got it right.
